A passion for
seaplane flying.
Michigan Seaplane was founded by its owner out of a love for flying on the water and a belief that aviation is meant to be shared.
Landing on a traditional runway was only the beginning. Flying on the water changed everything. Seaplane flying wasn’t about earning another rating—it was about the freedom and connection that comes from operating on open water, and the sense of possibility that comes with it.
From the beginning, it was never about making money. The goal was to share a passion, build community, and give something back to aviation. That vision led to the establishment of Michigan Seaplane and Airport 41D, creating a place where seaplane pilots could gather, learn, and connect.
Michigan Seaplane exists to pass that passion on. It’s a place built by a pilot, for pilots—rooted in community, shared experience, a love for flying on the water, and a genuine love for others.
Because the best parts of aviation—and of life—are meant to be shared.
