This typically includes approximately 1.5 hours of ground school and 1–2 hours of checkride preparation.
Training concludes with the FAA oral exam and practical checkride.

Michigan Seaplane is a registered FAA Part 61 flight school, operating from 41D Seaplane Base in Oakland County, Michigan.
We provide individualized instruction tailored to each pilot’s experience level, training goals, and schedule.

To add a seaplane rating to your pilot certificate, you must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate with an Airplane category rating and possess a current medical certificate.
